Lawn Mowing Services on the Gold Coast
Find local providers for regular mowing, one-off cuts, edging and tidy-ups, then request a quote based on your lawn and access.

Request thisWhat affects the quote?
- Lawn area
- Larger lawns generally take longer and need more fuel, equipment and disposal capacity.
- Grass height and condition
- Long, wet, dense or neglected grass can need extra passes, more catcher emptying, or a separate recovery cut.
- Shape and obstacles
- Trees, garden beds, play equipment, narrow passages and separate areas add time.
- Access
- Stairs, steep slopes, locked gates, poor vehicle access and a long carry for equipment can change the quote.
- How often
- A regular round may be priced differently from an urgent or one-off visit.
- What is included
- Edging, whipper snipping, blowing, clippings and green-waste removal should be listed, not assumed.
- Equipment
- A push mower, a self-propelled mower and a ride-on suit different properties.
- Travel
- Distance and whether the property sits on a provider’s existing round can affect the price.
- Season and urgency
- Fast growth, wet weather and short-notice work can affect availability and the quote.
Indicative price guide
The figures below are broad Australian market indicators, not fixed MyScapez prices or guaranteed Gold Coast rates. Providers set their own prices after checking the lawn, access, condition and requested scope. Ask for the total price and inclusions before approving the job.
| Example job | Indicative guide | How to present it |
|---|---|---|
| Small lawn, up to about 80 m² | $40–$80 per visit | Basic mowing example. Confirm whether edging and clean-up are included. |
| Larger residential lawn, up to about 160 m² | $60–$90 per visit | Condition, access and the number of sections can move the price. |
| Very large lawn or acreage | About $90–$120+ per visit | Ride-on equipment, travel, obstacles and slashing can change the quote a lot. |
| Regular professional mowing benchmark | $45–$85 per hour | Some providers quote hourly. Many quote a fixed price per visit. |
| Queensland benchmark shown by a national directory | Around $55 per hour | This is a directory benchmark, not a quote or a recommended MyScapez rate. |
hipages, in its lawn mowing cost guide last updated on 6 January 2026, shows professional mowing around $45–$85 per hour, with an average near $66, plus examples of $40–$80 for a small lawn up to 80 m² and $60–$90 for a larger lawn up to 160 m². It lists a Queensland figure around $55 per hour and says the total varies with the job. hipages lawn mowing cost guide.
A ServiceSeeking page for lawn mowing in Main Beach showed an indicative $20–$30 per hour range in the heading, and warned that published ranges can differ from actual quotes. Those two sources do not match. That is why the table is context only, and the price has to come from a quote for your property. ServiceSeeking, Main Beach.
How to request a useful quote
The request asks for your suburb, the job, the property type, a size band, how often, your name, and a mobile or email. Photos and extras are optional. Your phone and email stay on the private lead. They are not put on the public directory.
- Name the suburb, and say if the property is a home, rental, commercial site, strata or body corporate.
- Describe each area: front, back, side, nature strip or shared ground.
- Give an approximate size, or a photo that shows the whole lawn.
- Say whether the grass is maintained, long, wet, dense or neglected.
- Mention slopes, steps, narrow access, locked gates, pets and obstacles.
- State the frequency: one-off, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or seasonal.
- Say whether you want edging, whipper snipping, blowing, caught clippings and green-waste removal.
- Add a preferred time and any access note that is safe to share.
- Ask for the total price, whether GST is included, what is in and out, and the next available date.
- Do not send gate codes or other sensitive access details until you have chosen a provider.
Comparing providers
MyScapez does not publish a price comparison, and it does not label a business trusted, insured, licensed or verified unless that check has actually been done and the date and scope are recorded. Sample profiles in the directory are layout examples, not businesses you can book. A request is matched to a business that covers the suburb and has the job switched on.

Questions people ask
How much does lawn mowing cost on the Gold Coast?
There is no single fixed price. A national directory, hipages, last updated its lawn mowing guide on 6 January 2026 and showed about $45–$85 per hour, with an average near $66. Fixed visits in that guide were about $40–$80 for a small lawn and $60–$90 for a larger one. A Gold Coast provider should confirm the scope and the total before you book.
Is edging included with lawn mowing?
Sometimes, but not always. Ask whether light edging or whipper snipping is included, and whether heavy border work is quoted separately.
How often should a lawn be mowed?
It depends on the grass, the season, rain, shade and how you want it to look. Weekly or fortnightly is a common place to start on the Gold Coast, especially in warm wet months. The provider should suggest a schedule after seeing the lawn.
Do lawn mowing providers remove clippings?
It varies. Some mulch them or blow them back onto the lawn. Others collect and remove them, sometimes for an extra charge. Confirm this before you book.
Can I get a quote without an onsite visit?
Sometimes. Photos, an approximate size and access notes may be enough for a provisional quote. An onsite look may be needed if the lawn is overgrown, sloped, large or broken into many sections.
Does MyScapez do the mowing?
No. MyScapez helps you find and contact independent providers. The provider confirms the scope, price, availability and the work.
Ready to get your lawn under control?
Tell us where the lawn is, what condition it is in and how often you want it maintained. A matching provider can then quote with those details in front of them.

For providers: set your own price
This is not a rate MyScapez requires, and it is not a public promise to customers. Each business should set its own price. A fixed price per visit suits a repeatable residential lawn. Hourly pricing can suit uncertain work. A one-off quote suits an overgrown, end-of-lease or sale tidy. A minimum call-out can suit a very small job or a long trip, if you state that minimum before the booking.
