This policy explains what personal information MyScapez collects, why we collect it, and how you can access it, correct it or make a complaint.
MyScapez is an online marketplace and directory that connects homeowners in South East Queensland with local lawn mowing, lawn care, gardening and landscaping businesses. It is operated by Myscapez (ABN 79 501 664 159) (“MyScapez”, “we”, “us”).
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Quote requests from homeowners: your name, email address, phone number and suburb, plus job details such as property type, lawn size, how often you want the work done, extras, your preferred day and how many photos you chose to share.
Business listings: the business postcode and service suburbs, main trade, email address, phone number, the owner’s first and last name, profile headline, a description of the business, and whether the business has an ABN and the ABN itself.
Photos: our forms check photos you select on your own device so we can tell you how many are suitable. Photo files are not currently uploaded to our servers. If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.
Technical information: your IP address and browser details, which are used for security checks, spam protection and rate limiting, and anonymous usage statistics.
You can browse the site without giving us your name. If you don’t provide the details a form asks for, we may not be able to pass on your request or list your business.
When you request a quote, we share your request with the business or businesses we match it to, so they can contact you. Once a listing is approved, the business profile details you chose to publish are shown publicly.

We do not sell personal information.
Our service providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. We take reasonable steps under APP 8 to make sure they handle it in a way that is consistent with the APPs.
We do not use advertising cookies. Some features save information in your own browser’s local storage, such as recent requests and your session on this device, so the site works as expected. Cloudflare Turnstile may use cookies or similar technology for security. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. You can clear local storage in your browser settings at any time.
We only send marketing emails with your consent, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 5 business days. Service emails, such as confirmation that we received your listing, are sent because you asked for the service.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection, limits on form submissions and restricted access. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it securely. In general, we keep personal information while your account or listing is active, and for 2 years after it closes or your enquiry ends. Payment and tax records are kept for 5 years, as Australian tax law (ATO record-keeping) requires.
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If we refuse, we will explain why in writing.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
